Employers are still struggling with identifying qualified candidates to fill open positions. According to CCH, a recent study asked employers to indicate what they felt were their top challenges for 2014 in regard to human resources initiatives. The results are listed below:

 

  • 50% – Recruiting highly-skilled applicants
  • 32% – Retaining top talent
  • 31% – Employee morale
  • 27% – Competitive compensation
  • 26% – Burnout
  • 25% – Maintaining productivity levels
  • 20% – Organizational changes
  • 17% – Employee engagement
  • 17% – Providing upward mobility for employees
  • 15% – Providing training opportunities
  • 12% – Decreasing cost-per-hire
  • 11% – Succession planning
  • 11% – Budget constraints in recruiting
  • 8% – Finding new ways to identify / recruit candidates
