The Division of Employment Security (DES) now has a direct line for employers to call and get assistance. The new Employer Call Center (ECC) can assist employers with questions concerning unemployment issues including taxes, claims and even fraud.
“This will greatly assist the employers in getting the answers they need in a timely manner,” said DES Assistant Secretary Dale Folwell. “No matter the question, we have a dedicated group of employees there to assist them.”
The new Employer Call Center (ECC) is staffed with DES employees who are trained with an emphasis on focusing on the first five minutes of each call and assisting the caller with any question they may have. Employers requiring additional information are given direct contact to the departments that can provide more specific information.
