The United States Department of Labor (USDOL) has released its Wage and Hour Division’s (WHD) Fiscal Year (FY) Statistics for 2013, comparing them to past year statistics dating back to FY 1997.
Statistics in the report include enforcement numbers and back wages from minimum wage and overtime violations, as well as enforcement numbers pertaining to child labor and FMLA violations. Back wages for FY 2013 were $249,954,412 compared to $96,719,108 in FY 1997.
