As we announced last week, our new online peer community myCAI is coming on November 18th. One function of this community will be to replace and greatly enhance the current CAI Member List Serve. We’ll have more people in the forum and it will be easy to search archive questions. We’re also adding a vendor listing with ratings to make it easier for you to find and rate vendors, a popular request on the existing list serve. When myCAI launches, we’ll say goodbye to the existing list serve, which shuts down on November 17th. It has served us well!
We hope you are as excited about this new user-centric community as we are to bring it to you. There are a few things I encourage you to start doing in the community on November 18th to help you get the most out of our new peer-to-peer platform.
1. Be sure to update your profile and add your bio and professional skills. Our search feature scans all of myCAI to bring up the best results, so the more information you provide the easier it will be for others to find you…and you to find them.
2. Be sure to jump right in and join a group. The focus of our site is all about fostering professional relationships in small, intimate settings with groups of your trusted peers. Currently, we have two awesome groups suggested by our members. myCAI is all about helping our members find information and resources of value to them, so if there is a group that you would like to lead or see formed don’t hesitate to let us know. These groups may be segmented by industry, company size, skill level, title, topic, etc. Some may be personal or social in nature.
3. Log in regularly! The great thing about our community is that it will be open 24/7 and you can access it at your leisure. Be sure to stay connected and stay on top of the latest happenings and news by logging in regularly.
Plan to see a welcome email on November 17th or 18th with instructions on how to access myCAI. Just follow the link, jump in and get started. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or reach out if you need help. The best way to learn is by doing and we promise – you can’t break myCAI. If you need any assistance at all I am just an email or a phone call away. We are committed to helping you with myCAI. You’ll receive other invites from me in the coming weeks with suggested groups and places to check out on the community. You can reach me at email@example.com with any questions.
I’m very excited to meet all of you and have you in the new community and can’t wait to see the wealth of information exchanged and the relationships fostered.
