Rick_Washburn-6.jpgHow much time do you spend actively managing your employment brand?  The Corporate Executive Board has released data demonstrating the importance of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP). An attractive EVP can reduce the compensation premium needed to hire top talent by 50 percent.  An effective EVP enables an organization to improve the commitment of employees by up to 37 percent.  More findings from this study are attached to this article.  There are many things you can do to build your EVP.  One easy one is to gain recognition for being a company that has cool HR practices.  CAI offers you an easy way to get such recognition.

We are now accepting nominations for CAI’s 2016 Ovation Awards for HR Excellence!  These distinguished awards recognize North Carolina employers that have developed and implemented HR Practices that have had a positive impact on their business.

HR Practices may be in any number of HR functional and practice areas including:

  • Talent Acquisition
  • Employee Engagement & or Recognition
  • Performance Management
  • Talent Management
  • Developing Employee Potential
  • Culture/Creating a Better Workplace
  • Streamlining HR

Our Nomination Process is free, streamlined and straightforward:

  • Your nomination (approx. 500-1,000 words)  should address the following 3 issues:
    • Describe the business situation or opportunity that gave rise to your eventual solution
    • Describe your organization’s solution to the issues
    • Describe how your solution positively impacted the business

  • Submission deadline is Friday, December 18, 2015.

  • Award recipients must be present at CAI’s 2016 HR Management conference (March 9 & 10) to receive the award and to participate in a panel discussion on the topic.  To repeat, winners no longer have to present for an hour on their best practice!

Submit your nomination for consideration today for an opportunity to join your fellow CAI member organizations that have received this distinguished award.  Last year’s winners were Buhler Aeroglide, Research Square, PPD, BCBS of NC, and Tanger Properties!
