CAI is happy to announce that beginning in the fall, we will be adding the new aPHR Certification Study Course to our core training offerings. HRCI's new Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) is the first-ever HR certification designed for professionals who are just beginning their HR career as it waives the experience eligibility guidelines that both the PHR® and SPHR® designations require.

This new designation is designed for individuals launching a career in human resources starting with high school graduates and college students seeking a degree in HR, those serving in HR support roles or those who have HR responsibilities but do not currently hold an HR position. This designation will also support military personnel seeking HR professional development or those looking to transition into a civilian role in HR. The only eligibility requirements to sit for the exam are a high school diploma or a global equivalent and you must be located in the United States.

Like our PHR® and SPHR® Certification Study Course, the aPHR course will be led by David Siler, SPHR,GPHR, HRBP, HRMP, Managing Partner of Distinctive, HR, Inc. David's PHR/SPHR students have an extremely impressive exam pass rate of 90%, dwarfing the national pass rate for both exams in the most recent test period of around 50%.

The aPHR Study Course content will be focused on covering the general HR knowledge, principles and practices that make up the aPHRexam: HR Operations, Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Human Resource Development and Retention, Employee Relations and Health/Safety/Security.

For information on the new HRCI aPHR designation, please go to www.hrci.org. For information on course dates/times or to register go to www.capital.org/siler or contact Ashley Modica at 919-431-6080.

As a reminder, all members of CAI receive up to 12 hours of HRCI re-certification credit simply for being members of CAI.  For more information, please see: CAI signs deal with HRCI: 12 Hours of credit to CAI members!
